I’ve noticed that a lot of slang is used in posts. Slang like, waz up, would u like to b my friend, and phrases such as that. This is also a case when writing is different from talking. When you talk, you use slang. It’s very natural, especially when you’re talking with friends. But in a message in a forum, slang just looks messy. It doesn’t take that long to write a word instead of a letter or a number. A lot of slang words are just sounds, and really aren’t meant to be written. Even if you are a very intelligent person, using a lot of slang when you’re writing won’t make you look very intelligent. I tend to take someone’s writing less seriously if they use slang or letters or numbers in place of words.
