Thanks to the “wonders” or “easy” and “non-intrusive” partitioning, I no long have a computer. Instead, I have a $3,000 box with a fucked MBR and — apparently — drive letters running from a: to z: and beyond. I don’t know what the fuck PartitionMagic did to my machine, but now it’s totally and utterley fucked. Fortunatley, in a measure of good tech support, the lovley lads from Dell are coming on Monday with a brand new hard-drive all for free. This is the second time Dell has replaced our broken hardware for us (the first time was a monitor), so if you’re going to get a new ‘puter, buy one from these guys. In the meantime, I’m stuck on dad’s old thing which is fine, but it’s configured… wrong. Eech…
