So the other thing I went out and did today was buy myself a new fish. I wasn’t sure what I was going to get this time; another beta or maybe some guppies but in the end it was no contest, really.
Okay okay, I fail at fish photography. Sure.
Anyway, he’s a crowntail like Laucian but his blue is purplish rather than the brilliant aqua Lau used to get when looked at from above. And, woe he doesn’t have a name!
So, people, what should I name my new fish?

I love bettas, they’re such beautiful fish and so curious! It’s nice to have a fish that watches you through the tank and is excited to see you when you get home from work, even if he’s only after food.

No, there’s the top of the heater and the bottom of the HOB filter in that picture. The rest of the tank is fully planted, but Fish #2 likes to hang out in the corner with all the unphotogenic stuff, of course.
