Art
I've been sketching pretty much as long as I can remember -- when I was a wee tyke I used to tell adults that when I grew up I wanted to be an "author and illustrator" -- but I didn't get really organised about it until my 14th birthday, when mum bought me a sketchbook. Since then, I've pretty much never stopped. I'm not the greatest cartoonist in the world, but I give it a pretty good bash. Here's some of my favourite stuff I've done lately. For a fuller (albeit less organised) listing, try the archive.
Colour
I hate hate hate colouring. When I do it by hand, I usually use Derwent Artists' pencils occasionally finished off with Copic Markers. On the computer, I've traditionally used Painter 7 but I've been messing about lately with 'speed painting' in PhotoShop. I think speed painting over sketches is my favourite way of working like this, albeit a slightly less polished one.
Sketches
I have a bad habit of sketching when I'm bored, something that usually comes up at the most inappropriate times. Say, during meetings. I also have a terrible habit of sketching on lined paper, and then ruining my line work in the scanning process. Oh well.
Photography
Me versus my camera. I don't consider myself a Photographer with a capital-P, but I do rather like taking snaps of stuff. Yanno, just for fun. These are streamed directly from my Flickr page.
