1. What was your first fandom?
   Oh, gosh… hrm. Y’know, it was probably Fern Gully. We used to have fan characters for it (technically fan characters for a cross between it and – I kid you not – Indiana Jones) when we were about 13. Of course, these were back in the day before anyone knew what ‘fandom’ was, so we didn’t have a name for it, but I guess that doesn’t matter. My first acknowledged fandom, however, was Tekken. Y’know, like the video games. Devil Jin is hot, okay?
2. Which has been your favorite fandom -be it because of the drama, the stories, the characters, the cheese, the pr0n…
   Probably Blark, mostly because it’s the first fandom I’ve really been ‘involved’ in semi-actively. Plus it’s full of yummy H/C, identity porn, nice people and little drama. What more could you ask for?
3. I hear you have a book in the stages of publishing! Might I ask what is it about? Or, to protect confidentiality, how has the publishing process been?
   Of course! It’s Chainbreaker, the first book in the Urban Nordica series and I blather about it a lot (though, uh, a lot of those are locked posts). It’s actually a crossover between my Corner¹ and randomredux’s Urban Mythica. Some excerpts as well as one-shot side stories can be found here. It’s currently our forays into the publishing world that are more under-wraps at the moment than the story itself, but hopefully we should have some news… next year some time. Maybe.
4. Do you like animals? Favorite one?
   I sure do! I’m one of those people who’s suspicious of anyone who doesn’t. My favourite animal? Ever since I was a little girl it has been (and don’t all roll your eyes at once; I swear to god this is true) bats. Those Fern Gully fan characters we had? Yeah, they were bats. I used to go the the library and colour photocopy photos of bats out of books, on bats, and stick them up in my room. I have an assorted collection of plush bats, including a hand puppet which I used to have hanging up in my room. I used to know how to pronounce Chiroptera. My hero was Richard Morecroft. And when we went to Queensland on holiday when I was 10 I totally got to pat a flying fox and then squeed like a little girl (which I was) for days. Not to mention the dozens of photographs I took on that trip. Of bats. My favourite bats are the flying foxes, but all bats are 100% more awesome than any other animal and anyone who disagrees gets a kick in the head.
5. If you could have a ‘normal’ profession (I mean, not a superhero) in a comic book world -weird paranormal things would happen to you in your field, what would you like to be?
   Yanno, I think I’d probably still do what I’m doing. I think it would be… interesting being a bureaucrat in a world full of crazy, lawless costumed post-humans. Lots of… legislative challenges and all that.
