The Cracktionary

Sunday, 11:48 pm in Books & Comics

Okay.  It’s come to my attention that some of you out there in readerland have not heard of the Superdictionary.  This saddens me, so I am here to enlighten you all.  The true story has long since been lost to the mists of time, but near as anyone can tell, sometime circa 1978, DC Comics published a book that may have been called The Super Dictionary: A Learning Dictionary and which attempted to use superheroes to teach children English.  It was then promptly regaled to the back shelf and to many a yard sale.  Thirty years later, the book was rediscovered by The Internets and re-dubbed ‘The Cracktionary’ due to the completely incomprehensible, innuendo-laded and – frankly – just plain weird ‘definitions’ inside.  It is now a collectors’ item.

What’s all the fuss about, you ask?  Well, see for yourself.  Remember, kids, these are real.

I was going to write some witty commentary here, but I think I’ll just let the crack speak for itself.

I know!  It’s almost, like, too much crack for one brain to handle.

Especially when he’s got that creepy RAPE TIME expression. gasp.png
