Oh-kaay.  This one was written for jen_in_japan’s dcdailylife community.  In a nutshell, the idea was to write a (non-Mary Sue’d) self-insertion fic¹ about you and your day-to-day life in the DCU.  This isn’t quite that; instead of featuring me in the DCU it more-or-less features the DCU coming to me.

I’d also like to apologise profusely in advance to randomredux for appropriating him as a secondary main character in this; I just couldn’t do it all by myself.  I’ve spent the last three years writing his characters OOC; now I’ve finally made the unconscionable jump to writing him OOC.  I must also beg forgiveness for what happens to his (really-for-real) display cases.  Asides from the cases, I’ve just made up the rest of the layout of his room; I’d be highly surprised if it actually works, but… actually, why the hell am I apologising for that?  This is still a goddamn story.

So, yeah; jen_in_japan and randomredux; this one’s dedicated to you, for better or for worse…
