Brace yourslef, YTMNDers; if you thought Katrina and Rita pwning the noobs was funny, stand back and wait for… Typhoon Longwang.
The best part is that it’s sexually suggestive both in Chinese and translated (“Hey baby, wanna look at my dragon king?”). Still, gotta hand it to the Chinese meteorologists; if I was going to get killed by weather I’d much rather be killed by Typhoon Longwang than Hurricane Sally. I mean, at least people could guiltily snicker behind their hands at my funeral. I think it’s my new goal in life to die in some embarrassing way, just to make people at my funeral feel uncomfortable. Yes, guys, it’s okay to laugh! Though since I don’t actually plan on dying this might prove difficult. Well, I suppose I should try and fake my own death every eighty eyars or so; no use making people suspicious, you know.
I watched the Lady Death cartoon today. All that ‘toonsploitation and gratuitous shots of heaving cleavage in totally inappropriate situations… it reminded me of devART. Aw. MPD Psyho was pretty cool, though, even with it’s barcode eyes (aaarrggghhh!), funny pixellated censor bars (it’s like, you get one shot of the exposed brain with the flower growing out of it; every subsequent one, we censor) and weird ‘arty’ green rain. Aah, Miike, I knew you wouldn’t let me down.
PS. People dying is natural disasters is still tragic, and I’m still going to Hell… then again, you really do have to laugh. Either that or drown in a pit of existential despair, take your pick.
